The Company Podcast Returns Sept. 18

Farpoint Media and Chainsaw Pudding Productions are proud to announce that the hit Heroes podcast, The Company, will return to your favorite podcatcher software on September 18th, 2009.

The first episode will be a Season Four preview episode and will feature a revamped show format, new guest hosts, and more, just in time for the premiere of Volume 5: Redemption on September 21st.

Staff Changes For The Company

Due to recent developments, Engee has decided it best to leave his current position on The Company Podcast. While both the extent and length of this hiatus is unknown, Engee has taken his leave from the podcast effectively immediately.

As of this moment, there have been no talks regarding a replacement host, but it is possible that guests hosts could be brought in to fill guest roles, both from the Heroes fanbase, and friends of The Company.

We here at The Company appreciate all the work that Engee has put into the podcast, and hope that despite recent happenings, that there will soon be no hard feelings towards the working relationship we had as a podcast.

Engee will retain posting privileges as both a “Host” on the Farpoint Media Forums and The Company website, so he will be able to comment on these developments as he so chooses.

Engee will always be welcome here at The Company, and we still consider him a member of the family. We are also open to his return to the show if some of the issues causing this separation were remedied.

Fright or Flight Week at The Company

So this week is the week of Halloween, which means its time for a bit of celebration, Heroes-style!

We here at The Company are throwing in our hats to the celebration of the event by presenting a special week of festivities we are calling “Fright or Flight Week” (if you are Heroes fan, you should get the reference..if not..check out a Season Two episode list).

Everyday (starting today) this week, The Company website will feature a different Halloween themed video on the right bar of the website.

The blogs this week will feature some sort of Hallow’s Eve subject involving Heroes.

All of this leads up to this Friday October 31st and the release of our highly-acclaimed Halloween Special.

Last year we dabbled, but this year our Halloween podcast will not only cover tomorrow’s episode, but will also feature a variety of Halloween content including costumes, discussions on things like “Scariest Moment in Heroes”/ “Scariest Character”, and also a special return of Heroes Masterpiece Theatre!

Episode 10 Audio/Video Delayed!

My apologies! As you’ve already seen the audio and video for episode 10 and the video for episode 9 has not been uploaded to the site yet. Why?  This is mainly due to the fact that for the first time in a while I’ve been extremely busy this weekend.  I’m going to work on it and should have all of it (episode 9 video and episode 10 audio/video) up by tomorrow.  I apologize again for the inconvience.  In the meantime check out the blogs posted by myself and Woo on the main page!

New Website Design Launched!

We are very excited to bring you the new website for The Company.  This new design will allow us to become a platform as much as a podcast. 

We will be featuring a new video every weekon the right of the page, and there are conveniently layed out sections for other content including news, blogs, and the main podcast/vidcast. 

Also be sure to check out the forums via the link on the topbar of the site.  Look out for more content and bear with us during our transition period to the new site as there may be some bugs or glitches.

Heroes Premiere Party - Join us Live!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we’ll be having a Heroes Premiere Event party starting at 7:30 pm Central to kick off the new season of Heroes and thus, a new season of The Company.

We’ll be streaming the video feed from the party live and offering our thoughts during commercials for everyone to hear!

There will also be some chatroom action going on so that we can all have fun watching Heroes together!

Podcast Delay

Although we said we hoped to have new podcasts up on Friday, this week’s episode will be delayed until tomorrow (Saturday) due to a last minute editing decision. Look out for future episodes on Fridays and be sure to subscribe so you can get this weeks episode as soon as its posted!

Edit: Looks like it’s going to be Sunday. It’s coming! These two weeks prior to the “Premiere Week” were designed to work out issues like this so please bear with us in this transition.

The Company YouTube page starts September 10th!

As you can see, the new website is up and within the next few days we will transition into the new feed.  We’ll keep the other site up for a month to help move more of the old listeners to the new feed, but all new content will be posted on this site, which is still www.thecompanypodcast.net.

First bit of content is really just a preview for what’s to come.  Every Wednesday, we will be posting some sort of video specific content on our YouTube channel so please go watch and subscribe to “thecompanypodcast” on YouTube!  This will help empty the gap of content througout the week, so the schedule looks to go like this.

Tuesday: New blog on The Company website

Wednesday: New video on The Company YouTube page.

Thursday: New blog on The Company website

Friday: New podcast episode released on iTunes and The Company website!

The Company returns on September 12

I am pleased to announce that on September 12, The Company will return with an all-new show structure and episode schedule!

We have signed an agreement with FarPoint Media Inc (www.farpointmedia.net) to continue producing the podcast as well as additional content. We will be getting a brand new site with a brand new look, our own forums, and more!
The domain name (www.thecompanypodcast.net) will stay the same, but the feed will be changing, so be sure to stay posted for more information on this change. This website/feed will be up for another month and then we pull the plug and fully migrate to the new site.

The tentative schedule for our return can be seen here:

September 12: “Genesis”
Join us as we revisit the very beginning of the phenomenon known as “Heroes” and discuss some of our favorite (and least favorite) moments of Volume One: Genesis.

September 19: “Generations”
Listen as The Company analyzes what went wrong with Volume Two: Generations, what was good about it, and what they’ll have to do right in the next season do regain the popularity of their first year. We’ll also cover the latest Heroes: Graphic Novels and “Going Postal” the Heroes Web Mini-Series, all leading up to our Volume Three coverage after the premiere of Heroes: Villains.

September 26: “The Second Coming”
Volume Three coverage begins with the crowd-pleasing premiere episode “The Second Coming” which brought back the excitement of Heroes to the fans at Comic-Con. Join us while we share our thoughts on the premiere and speculate on the direction Heroes will be going this year. Also, Heroes Masterpiece Theatre makes its long-awaited return, and some new features premiere including our weekly Character Spotlight this week, “Hiro Nakamura”.

Wednesday Features:
Starting Wednesday, September 24, The Company will have weekly video features on their YouTube channel. Watch and subscribe and have something to tide you over between the new episode of Heroes on Mondays and the new episode of The Company on Fridays!
Feature will include Heroes Masterpiece Video and more!

We’d like to thank FarPoint Media and our fanbase for giving us the opportunity to come back and continuing doing what we love: entertain. Given the new resources from FPM, our production should be streamlined to sustain a higher quality and more consistent show. The Company Update

Hey fans and listeners of The Company!

I’d like to take this time to thank you all for listening to our last podcast season, we had a bit of a rough start and end, but we hope you enjoyed the ride.

There’s a lot of exciting things happening behind the scenes of The Company that I can’t mention yet, but I’d like to clue you guys in on a side project I’ve been working on.

The podcast is called “TubeNooBs” and its a show about television and movies. It’s the first long-distance podcast I’ve ever managed on my own. I hope that you guys check it out, subscribe, and listen! You may even hear some updates from time to time.

The show covers a lot of new releases in television and movies, but visits old classics as well. We’ll have the scoop on returning fall shows as the summer progresses so look out for some tidbits about Heroes!

We are in our humble beginnings and I hope you guys (and girls) give us a chance! I remember fondly how great of a listener base we had here with The Company and thought it would be awesome to bring you guys in on this new project!

Update from The Company!

Hey guys,

Hope you guys enjoyed the latest episode from The Company! If you haven’t, be sure to catch up on the old episodes .

Right now, we are planning our next project, we could go a few routes now that Heroes in on hiatus.

One of these routes could have something to do with ABC’s Lost, but that market is pretty full as far as podcast and blogs go.

We are throwing around options, so make sure to check back here for updates on our new projects!

Heroes Finale!!!

Well, the Heroes Finale was tonight, and it was pretty good I would say.

I’m writing this update to tell you we WILL be having a nice healthy podcast for you this week ON TIME and ON Schedule.

I know that we don’t seem very trustworthy right now, but that is mostly my fault and I apologize.

We will have more on the last couple episodes of Heroes on this podcast, and discuss the future of The Company Podcast while Heroes is off the air.

Update from The Company

Hey guys,

First, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates. It took so long to get the interview ready (took me HOURS to accurately type/transcribe most it) and I’ve kind of dropped the ball on episode 6.

I will say this…we DID record Episode 6. We recorded both the audio and the video for it, but it never got edited. Between the holidays and end of school semester tests, etc…it’s been very hectic.

Our plan is to record a small episode (an Episode 6.5 if you will) about the latest episode, Cautionary Tales. We should post Episode 6 on Wednesday/Thursday. I know its really late, but if anything we will upload it for archive purposes.

If we do the Episode 6.5 stuff, we can post that this Friday. If we don’t get to do it, we’ll take a holiday hiatus and see you guys next week on reactions on the second to last episode.

Vidcast Coming Soon!

Hey guys,

We just finished recording The Company Episode #4 last night.

I know that we promised that this podcast would be “the best Podcast yet”…we fell a little short of that goal.

But don’t worry! The reason that the quality is not yet up to par….is because we added yet another feature for The Company to exploit: The Company Vidcast (or Video Podcast)! We have recorded the first episode of our podcast with video ever last night for a special Halloween podcast. We originally had planned on Halloween-themed Podcast material, but it has been a busy week for all of us. Since it was Halloween, it was hard to do a podcast recording period.

Still, we hope you enjoy and expect the podcast online tomorrow!

The post-production process of the Podcast is going a bit slower than I previously predicted due to the addition of the new Video Podcast.  Because of this, the podcast will be posted a bit later than usual, but don’t worry…it will be here soon.  ^_^ Keep checking back and if you are subscribed, you’ll get it automatically!

The New Relationship

The reason for this post though is to officially announce our new relationship with DiscussHeroes.com

DiscussHeroes.com is an awesome online forum community that have alot of Heroes based discussions.

We are proud to announce that they will be the official forum of The Company. We will have our own section where people can post stuff directly about the show, but for other discussions we will use the pre-existing dedicated forums from DiscussHeroes.com. We hope this will help encourage growth for both our podcast and their forums.

So…we welcome all the DiscussHeroes.com Forum goers and encourage all of our other listeners to please visit their forums and participate in some great discussion!
